Meet Our

Victory Train® Team

The Victory Train® initiative is a grassroots movement in Greene County, Georgia, where the community has come together to embrace and take ownership of the vision. It is a volunteer-driven organization, with over 400 volunteers working together to ensure school-readiness for families. The belief is that everyone has a part to play on the Victory Train, and together the community can transform so that all children can succeed on their pathway to graduation.

Board of Directors (Volunteers)

The Victory Train® hired our first employee, Tameika Miller, in 2021, to serve as a Parent Coach to our families. Ms. Miller works with the parents on a one-on-one basis, helping to mentor and guide the parents in their role as their child’s first and best teacher.  The Parent Coach will evaluate each child and help guide the parents in building a successful pathway to graduation. We hired our second Parent Coach in 2024.

Our Education Team is comprised of educators with extensive backgrounds in early childhood education and development. These volunteers assist Victory Train® with developing the Curriculum used in our weekly education packets and designing age-appropriate packets to teach each lesson. Our Educators help administer our Brigance Testing for each Victory Train child and assist with evaluating the test scores and results. This information is then used to enhance our Curriculum and to help us customize the weekly packets to fit the individual needs of each child.

The Victory Train® Board of Directors sets the vision and policies for the organization and is responsible for developing a plan to provide the resources needed to implement the strategic plan.  The Board helps to identify funds and resources to provide the educational materials that make up our weekly packets, helps raise the funds to support the salaries of our Parent Coaches, and helps to identify volunteers to oversee the operations of the program in order to ensure families receive the support needed to prepare their children for school-readiness.

Our Victory Angels are volunteers who deliver the weekly educational packets to our families.  We currently have four Delivery Angels, most of whom have children or grandchildren in the Victory Train program.  The other is a teacher in our local school.  Our Delivery Angels believe in the mission of the Victory Train and offer their time to help bring the program packets to their friends and neighbors.  We believe the Victory Train program belongs to the community………..  Our Victory Angels Rock!
