Cindy Helms is a retired Speech & Language Pathologist with 30 years of experience in multiple school systems.  She graduated from Northeastern State College in Oklahoma with a Bachelor's degree in Speech Pathology and a Master's degree from Oklahoma State College in Speech and Language Pathology. Her experience has been in many different public school systems across the Mid-West and South, and involved school testing, therapy, and working with children that range from 2 years to high school level needing speech and/or language services.  Her love is working with students needing language therapy.    She retired from the Greene County schools in 2014.  She is a member of the Greene County Retired Teachers Association. She continues to be active with local organizations such as The Lake Country Players and Poppas, and is a member of the Lake Oconee Lutheran Church.  She helps with the local Food Pantry and is a choir member. Ms. Helms is involved with the Victory Train, helping with the summer camp program, testing the children, and helping to prepare the educational packets.  She is honored to a be a part of the Victory Train education team that promotes success in the area of literacy in our community.
