Debbie Kent was raised in Peachtree City, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia, majoring in Journalism with an emphasis in Public Relations. Ms. Kent spent most of her career fund-raising and public relations for non-profits, including multiple units of the American Cancer Society. Debbie and her husband Ronnie have lived in Greensboro since 2006. They have three daughters and four beautiful grandchildren. After retiring to raise her children, she became an active volunteer. She is active at Lake Oconee Church and other community organizations. Ms. Kent co leads a women’s Bible Study. She enjoys spending time with her family, travel, and is a fair weather golfer. Ms. Kent’s heart is for all children to develop a love for learning so they are successful in school and life.
