Karen Kelley
Born and raised on Long Island New York, Ms. Kelley graduated with a BS in Small Business and Personnel Management from Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder. To fund her college education she simultaneously launched a 10 year career in restaurant management where she met and married her husband (of 40+ years!) Jeff. They relocated to Marietta, GA in 1989 where they raised 2 beautiful daughters, and were eventually blessed with 2 son-in-loves. In 2019 Karen, Jeff and Mom settled into their new life journey at beautiful Lake Oconee. Karen recently retired from a 20+ year career as National Carrier Account Manager in the Telecom Industry and quickly hopped on board The Victory Train where she could not be more excited to help raise awareness for this amazing early education non-profit program that is designed to positively impact lives of young children, their families and entire communities in a single generation. The success of this simple yet dynamic concept is literally contagious!
Karen has always had a heart for mentoring young children. Whether through educational childcare, sport activities, teaching Sunday school, leading youth groups or volunteering with Atlanta's Dream Center 'Adopt A Block' program, she was (and still is) everyone's MommaK.In her spare time she soaks up every opportunity to enjoy friends and family, especially their 4 grand treasures! Bible study, travel, anything water, yoga, pickle ball and hiking beautiful nature trails (golf courses included) are all icing on life's cake.
